A 75 years old bookstore located at Lebuh Carnavon, Penang. It’s a family business that passed down from generations to generations which focuses in bookstore and Four Treasure. And now, it was passed to the third-generation heirs. The first location of Van Hin Book.Co was located at Cintra Street, Penang and moved to Lebuh Carnavon in the 1960s. By that time, the grandfather of the third-generation heirs, who was the first owner of Van Hin Book.Co and in charge of it.
As time flows, we have slowly changed the form from initially focusing on stationaries and books, to customization of red packet and festival appliances due to the developments of science and technology in the 1990s. Lastly we have transformed into specializing in the Four Treasure of the study, and mainly focusing on calligraphy writing brushes. After that, the third-generation heirs and his family went to China and get in touch with the producer and calligraphy writing brush masters, Van Hin has successfully produced the first calligraphy brush in 2017.
有75年歲月的書局，位於檳城沓田仔街是一個代代相傳的家族產業也是以書為始源，以文房四寶為轉折點，如今已經是第三代繼承人。萬興書局最初坐落在日本橫街，大約在60年代的時候代搬至沓田仔街，那時候有第一掌門人 — 第三代繼承的爺爺來所掌管。
隨著時間流逝，到了90年代書局的角色變得尷尬，我們只能慢慢地轉變形式，從最初以文具，書籍爲主，到後來自製紅包封等節日用品，到最後轉型成專攻文房四寶，尤其以毛筆爲主。後來第三代的繼承人便和家人去到中國在那之下接觸到不少製造商和制筆的師傅，在瞭解本地書法會畫家的習性后，就自家研發毛筆。萬興書局的第一支毛筆就在2017年誕生了。
