歷代碑帖精粹 —— 近代 王福庵《說文部首》The Essence of Ancient Stele and Calligraphy - Modern Works by Wang Fu'an: Shuowen Radicals

王福庵（1880～1960），原名禔、壽祺，字維季，號福庵，以號行，別號印奴、印傭，別署屈瓠、羅剎江民，七十歲後稱持默老人，齋名麋研齋。浙江杭州人。現代書法篆刻家，“西泠印社”創始人之一。年五十居上海。精篆刻，書法工篆、隸。得吳昌碩鼓勵，另闢蹊徑，專工小篆與金文。所書小篆工整規範，秀美遒勁。所篆《説文部首》字帖、《説文作篆通假》，向為行家肯定，成為學篆範本。 2023年5月5日，國家文物局公佈了1911年後已故書畫類作品限制出境名家名單，根據名單，王福庵的代表作不準出境。

Wang Fu'an (1880–1960), originally named Zhi and Shouqi, courtesy name Weiji, and pseudonym Fu'an, also known by other aliases such as Yinnu and Yinyong, and signatures Quhu and Luocha Jiangmin. After turning seventy, he referred to himself as Chimo Laoren (Old Man of Silent Reflection) and named his studio Miyan Studio. He was from Hangzhou, Zhejiang, and a modern calligrapher and seal carver. Wang was one of the founders of the Xiling Seal Society.

At fifty, he moved to Shanghai. He was skilled in seal carving and calligraphy, particularly in the styles of seal script (小篆) and clerical script (隸書). With the encouragement of Wu Changshuo, Wang developed a unique approach to seal script and bronze inscriptions. His seal script was known for being structured, elegant, and powerful. His works, such as the Shuowen Radicals and Shuowen Seal Script Combinations, were highly regarded by experts and became models for students of seal script.

On May 5, 2023, the National Cultural Heritage Administration announced a list of famous calligraphers and painters whose works from after 1911 are restricted from being exported. Wang Fu'an’s representative works were included on this list.
